Because music is an essential component of the film, GIFF features a spectacular lineup of bands that will shake the different stages of the festival.

The Guanajuato International Film Festival, in its efforts to diversify and provide a platform for emerging talents in the Mexican music scene, presents an annual series of exciting concerts that complements the film program, which in many cases includes providing original music to the projects that participate in our University Rally.

As such, a great number of groups have taken the stages of GIFF to share a selection of their music with everyone who attends. Bands that include Caifanes, Paté de Fua, La Lupita, Los Teen Tops, Rebel Cats, Jenny & The Mexicats and Nortec, among many others, are now a part of the festival’s musical history.

This year we’ll have big surprises for you, which is why we ask you to keep an eye out on social media to discover and share the groups that will be present during GIFF 2016… here’s a sneak preview: El Guacarock is back!
